I/m tryna get my nails done tomarrow an i need some nice Acrylic nail styles.........nothing to bright nothing to plain jane either. plz give me a GOOD website to see images on Acrylic nail s
Here is a good website that has more than just one pic, LOL!
These are all acrylic nails and were entirely handcrafted - no airbrushing or any other tricks. They were done by a highly skilled tech who uses excellent acrylic products. It takes a lot of experience, and skill to do this level of work. But, there are techs out there who can do this sort of thing. You just have to find them, which may be a little time consuming - but well worth it!

Mine are plain black but I would recommend having black nails and putting little crystals on them and designs with white polish.

I have noticed a lot of people are keeping there real nails instead of acrylic. I am trying to decide if I will get acrylic or if I should just keep my real nails. My real nails grow long so I don't know if I should even bother getting acrylic. What do you think?
don't bother getting them acrylic, they mess up your nails sooo bad...go get your own nails done (a manicure)

sorry & thanx in advance i just want to know as much about them as i can... decided to have my nails done in the acrylic style a couple of days ago and had my mom do them..she was a liscenced costmetologist many years ago..doesn't anymore but still knows how to do it the only thing is that she doesn't know very much about acrylic nail art....soo here are my questions for colored tips how does that work as far as i can tell you put on colored acrylic on top of the tip around the "smile line" and then clear acrylic on top and buff ?? or does it work better to just do it clear and then paint over the top...does anyone know any good places to buy colored acrylic/glitter powders and can you use regular glitter or does it have to be a certain type just for nails?? is it better when doing nail art to do tips or just an entire fake nail?? can you use regular acrylic paint when doing on the surface nail art?? what stays on better nail polish? or air brush? where can i find good nail art stencil
Coloured Tips: yes you do use coloured powder (acrylic) on the free edge up to the smile line and then cover with a layer of clear for protection and buff. You can just apply your liquid and powder (acrylic) and then paint the tip a different colour but this will obviously not last nearly as long as doing it with coloured powder is permanent (until it grows out or is taken off). As for places to buy coloured powder, i would say that your mum needs to ask wherever it is that she bought the products to do your nails with originally as it all depends on what professional system she is using (brand etc). You can use regular glitter, although i would advise that you use glitter powder/dust (very fine) rather than normal glitter as normal will affect the strength of the enhancements. Just mix a little glitter in with some clear powder, this makes glitter powder.
When doing nail art, it is much better to use water based acrylic paint as nail varnish will be more see through and not have the desired effect.
Not sure what you mean by just doing art on the tips or just an entire fake nail? Nail art is down to the artist. You have the artistic freedom to do what you want. I would suggest only doing it on top of your product once dry, rather than doing it on a plastic tip and then overlaying with product.
Only every buy professional products from professional places, im pretty sure that all hair and beauty suppliers now stock nail stuff.
As for good nail art stencils.... check ebay, i know you said you didnt want to hear about ebay, but for things like that, definately worth a look as can be MUCH cheaper than suppliers.
