How come when i apply acrylic nails at home they come off....?

when ever i apply acrylic nails at home they always seem to lift and come off really easy..please help
I buy all my products at a beauty supply store not at walmart, target ect..
use a non-quick drying formula and push down RIDICULOUSLY HARD to squeeze all the air. if there's air underneath, not just glue between the layers, it won't stick as long.

i used to try to do my own nails too. i've come to realize the only acrylic nails that will stay are the ones you get at those places at walmart. i think they use tooth enamel or something because the acrylic stuff i have gotten does not work!

probably because theyre a walmart ect ect brand you need to actually buy really good nails. And need to have to correct equiptment to keep them staying on such a solar nail gel, the buffer, polisher ect ect. But honestly nail glue isnt going to look right because it will be crusty ect underneath and iwll show through. Its way cheaper to just go get your nails done rather than buy all the equiptment that would probably total up to a couple hundred bucks. And plus you could have great looking nails or shitty ones that fall off and you'd spend around the same price cause you'd have to keep buying more ones to apply sence they fall off. Sorry if i sounded mean wasnt trying to . Good luck

does the "let them breathe" thing only apply to false nails like acrylic nails but not polish?
Sep 06, 2008 by First L | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
Do I have to keep my toenails polish-free once in a while to let them breathe? Or does the "let them breathe" thing only apply to false nails like acrylic nails? I do usually wear several layers of nail polish and I only remove the polish when my nails grow but I apply nail polish to my nails right away.
I totally agree with Nailpro91. Nails do not need to 'breathe.' Also, I free with her opinion about 'discount' salons and their tendency to overfile your nails. Unfortunately, overfiling of the natural nail happens quite frequently in this type of salon.
To answer your question: The "Let them breathe" thing doesn't apply to polish, acrylics, or any other type of nail enhancement simply because nails do not have a need to 'breathe.' But, if anyone feels more comfortable with giving their nails a break from either polish, or acrylics, then by all means - do it!

is is safe to apply my own acrylic nails?
Jul 18, 2007 by Jessica | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
like the ones that are sold at walmart and sally's beauty supply?i have never applied acrylic nails and i dont want to spend alot of money at a salon because i only need them for one night to look presebtable for my friend's 15 party:]
You can do it yourself. But, be warned! You're in for alot of work if you don't have an electric nail grinder. ALOT of work. my advice would be to spend the $20. by the time you buy all the stuff you need and a nail grinder you will have spent that $$ anyway

How do i apply acrylic nails? Is there a site that will give me instructions?
May 08, 2007 by dont_assume_know | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
NO there is not a website that will teach you how to apply them....you're better off gettin a kit from the drug store if you dont want to go to a licensed nail tech...and chances are they wont look as professional as if they were done in a shop

Bobby's Reality Check: A night of priorities

, I flipped over to the Lifetime for the come out of the seventh season. “Forward Runway” had visibly suffered since effective to Lifetime, with a slew of obtrude-in guest judges for Michael Kors and Nina Gah-cee-uh, along with motherhood-inspired and knocker-cancer awareness challenges, but as the show opened up with the contestants entering Atlas, it felt like a well-needed homecoming. Like the halcyon days of Bravo again! What is a debut of “Contract Runway” without Heidi (Klum) and Tim giving the new designers a champagne congratulate on the roof of the Atlas (though Heidi opted for sparkling cider since she’s continually in a state of affairs of pregnancy). This was still Lifetime after all, so the show’s intro, the workroom and even Tim’s tie was clear pink.
It’s always a endeavour between who has actual devious talent and who is TV-close at hand on “Outline Runway,” and last ceaselessly’s table-out personality Anthony Williams walks that comely line. They have been trained with firearms from the while they were 18 and they will bolt a bullet through your gel-armored whisker. Danielle eerily stalked Pauly D’s “spirit.” Though Pauly D won’t acknowledge it, he likes this particular bird. But trifling Shnooks, her being is one big cockblock: “We made out, but not sex,” she said. “I don’t be versed why.” She also said, “I’m not trashy — fitting when I’m souse.” I’m waiting for her tomorrow's talk-show.
