Crystal deodorant?

Does crystal deodorant work? Does it stain clothing? Any suggestions for a natural deodorant?

the Thai crystal works really well,i like the spray version,it works better then any deodorant ive ever tried,it doesnt stain its totally
clear and fragrance free.

Yes, it works good and does not stain. Also you may want to try something cheaper such as baking soda mixed with a little water to make a paste. Thomas of Maine is also a good line of natural products.

Works very well, I prefer the roll on, easy to use. I like to add scent so I also use a body spray. It will not stop sweating but it does a great job for odor. I am allergic to the aluminum in antiperspirants, I tried everything on the market in the natural section, the crystal works best. No stains, not even marks on a black dress.

Depends on what you're looking for in a deodorant and how sweatty you are! This does not stop you sweating at all, and to be honest you'll be lucky if it stops the smell either! The only natural deodorant I've discovered that kinda works quite well is one by Green People, but is quite pricey.... Don't worry about your clothes staining from the deodorant they don't stain but if your someone that does sweat regularly as natural deodorants don't stop you perspiring your clothes stain from your sweat anyway!

Hi lemon juice is really good. Just quarter a lemon and rub in under your arms, let it dry and you're good to go. Nice, natural and cheap!

Crsytal deodorants are VERY effective and cheap.

However, you need to know a couple of things. First of all, if you have been using "normal" spray-on deodorants, you will likely notice an increase in sweat production initially (first1-2 weeks). This is because alumimium-based anti-perspirants (and many deodorants) work by blocking the pores where they are sprayed.

Apart from the well-known harmful effects of this, it means that the body, as a reaction tries to unblock the pores by increasing sweat production (totally counteracting the "deodorant" effect, but it makes you buy more!). When you stop using these sprays, therefore, it takes a week or so for sweat production to normalize.

Also, contrary to popular belief, it is not sweat that causes body odour, but the bacteria that grow in the warm, moist environment of sweaty pits etc. These crystals work by allowing the sweat, but preventing bacterial growth and are 100% natural.

Personally, I have been using them for years. Before, I sweated very heavily, now I hardly even notice.

Baking soda works really well.

i tried a crystal deodorant but it didnt help one bit, my filipino step mom use to use tawas (alum) and that worked pretty well

When do you need to replace a crystal deodorant?

Mineral salt crystal deodarants work better than regular deodarant, but it does not have an expiry or run out. When do you know it is time to replace your crystal?

Every couple of months, if not every month because bacteria can build up on it.

could you please explain how does crystal deodorant work?

there's a deodorant which is said 'crystal', it really works in helping me keeping fresh all day. i just want to know what is it made of (what crystal is it) and may b some hints on how does it work, like kill germs or something. thanx

it's mainly a salt crystal.

salt on your skin works anti-septic, so bacteria cannot live on your skin.

the bacteria usually process your sweat and that smells.

so, if there are no bacteria, then your sweat will not smell.

Have you ever used a body crystal deodorant stick?

...instead of regular deodorant? Did it work? Which product would you recommend?
I only bother in warn months but don't like using these chemicals on my skin everyday and I think some deodorants can actually make you smell worse over time.

I use one called Deo Nat(available in Australia, not sure where else). It is good, it does prevent odour. It is not an anti-perspirant so you will still experience wetness.
But at least you won't smell, and you are not using harmful chemicals.
I only use cosmetics that are petro-chemical free now, including perfumes. You notice after using them for a while that people using regular cosmetics and perfumes reek of chemicals.

Anyone else experience deodorant crystal stones with jagged edges?

I've bought deodorant crystal stones a couple of times and both developed holes which became jagged edges. I've actually been cut by the stones. I rinse thoroughly before and after using. I've also noticed white spots developing when I don't use them for a while. Anyone have an explanation for this?

They are made of salt.

If you keep them in your bathroom, condensation from the shower/bathtub is likely getting onto them, causing them to "melt".

Regarding the neighbourhood focus: in cover you're a new reader of this blog headline, that is the focus of my expos for the RFT. A end word about CAFOs: in supplement to my social effort background, I am also working on a graduate bit by bit in public condition. The American Community Health Combine came out strongly against CAFOs in 2003 for their environmental fitness effects, as well as their contribution to the outbreak of antibiotic-proof against bacteria. I may focal point on food in this blog, but I can also talk about the principles of what I am saying, and having a commons production system based on treating animals as eats and dairy widgets rather than complex living systems is neutral plain precarious.

Thai Crystal Deodorant Stone

Yes, I positive this will sound like an advertisement, but it’s not. Just sharing my opinions on a consummate product. ;) I’ve been using this deodorant for over a year and it works high-minded. It’s 100% natural and has no chemicals or aluminum in it. If you ever had deodorant declare you itch, burn or stain your armpits, you might give this brand a try. It’s unisex and has no balm to it. It costs a little more than regular deodorant, but the stone I have has lasted over a year, so it’s quality paying more upfront. It’s available as a stone you wet before use or in drain bottle that is in a water form.
