Would you purchase a mini size (.15 oz.-1 oz) of deodorant whether it be a solid, roll on, or spray?
Which would you prefer out of solid, roll on, or spray? Are there any current stores that carry a deodorant within (.15 oz. to 1 oz)? This size would be much smaller than your typical "travel size" deodorant.
i have only seen travel size.. i havent seen smaller... i like solid but is invisible
well, I got a sample sized deo stick at Wal Mart in the Travel Supply isle, if that's what its called. Try Solid, beacuse roll on takes forever to dry.
Try deodorant sheets. The ultimate in portability, deodorant sheets offer single applications of deodorant on tiny, thin sheets. Dove Body Refreshers are the only deodorant sheets I am aware of. You can find Dove Body Refreshers at drugstores, mass retailers, or supermarkets.
I prefer solid... The spray and roll-on don't ususally stay on as long.
What types of deodorant will survive being in a hot car?
I like to keep some travel-size deodorant in the console of my car in case of emergencies. However, I live in Texas, and the interior gets very hot during the summer - hot enough to melt gels (Right Guard) and even powder solids (Degree). What other types of deodorants will survive these sorts of temperatures without getting ruined or denatured, or even worse, exploding or igniting?
Well you certainly should NOT go for gels! I made this mistake! I had a travelsized gel in the console in my door. I came to my car once and found it all over the place. At least my car smelled good but dang it!
I keep Dove powder solid in my car and I live in Arizona. It keeps up fine even in our ridicu-hot summers. My best friend keeps Teen Spirit powder solid in her car and it also stands up. :-) Another thing you can consider if looking for a deodorant crystal. They usually have them at health stores and sometimes in the healthfood section of stores. That won't melt! :-D
Are there any more ideas of what to add to gift baskets of personal travel size top of the line products?
We've started making pretty packages with travel size items practical for weekend travelers.
We are marketing them at small craft fairs and flea markets. Other than moisturizers, shampoos, conditioners, bar and liquid soaps and body washes, deodorants, toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwashes, are there any other "must have" products for men and women? Also, we are putting them in flattish round baskets? Would any other kinds of packaging work too? This is just to add a little extra to our incomes.

I plan to fly and take only carry-on - I want to take bare essentials like small travel size toothpaste, Underarm deodorant (like Mennan Speed Stick) , small travel shaving cream and a small tube of cream for skin condition? These are not liquids - are they allowed?

First, the ban is on liquid or GELS, so all those things you mentioned are affected by the ban (unless the deoderant is a solid stick). YES chapstick, lipstick etc. are considered gels.
Secondly, with those items listed, you CAN bring them onboard, so long as each is 3oz or less, and are put into a single quart (sandwich size) ziplock bag.
Your cream for your skin condition, is it prescription? If so, that is exempt from the 3oz+baggie rule, as long as there's an Rx label on it. If not, see below.
You can bring up "essential" non-Rx liquids/gels on board, if they are in containers less than 4oz. Included on this list is contact solution, saline, and KY jelly (it's even listed on the TSA website). They do not have to go into the baggie.
3 oz travel size....?
So I'm traveling to Hawaii in a little over 2 weeks from now. I know we are only allowed 3 oz of liquids on the flight. Will my conditioner last me 8 days? Because you have to figure in all the salt water and pool chemicals I will be dealing with. I'm just not sure. And also, can I bring along my venus razor as is in my carry-on, or should I bring it with the blade in the cartridge separate, or put it in my check-in luggage?
One more thing, If I take a stick deodorant that is travel size, does that count as a liquid that has to go in my zip top bag? And will that last me 8 days as well?
3 oz of conditioner may not last 8 days unless you don't use it every day or have short hair. If you're worried about, you could always purchase a small bottle of conditioner once you arrive, or just take two 3-oz bottles with you. You're allowed to have more than 3 ounces as long as it's separated into containers that are 3 oz or less (and fit in your ziplock bag).
You should be able to carry your Venus razor and extra cartridges in your carryon. Safety razors are allowed to be carried on.
If it's a solid deodorant, it does not count as a liquid. Gel deodorants or spray deodorants DO count as liquids and need to go in the bag. A travel size deodorant will most likely be enough for 8 days.
