eyelash dye?
Apr 15, 2008 by kate x x | Posted in Makeup
Is blue/black the darkest eyelash dye there is? if not what is?
blue/black is the darkest you can get when you get your lashes permed. it makes them look thicker and really nice if done properly. the only thing is once you start doing it its another chore on the beauty list lol you gotta go get it done every so often once you start
they mix a small amount of blue + black. if you really want them to be black ask the beutician to put a little more black in the mixture rather than more blue

i think black, but you have to be cautious in doing so because it might not be good for your eyes.

black is the darkest you can get but if your still not sure go in and ask a beauty therapist (at a hair salon usually) they will be certain about it and can also answer any other queries you have

People are telling you black, but the blue/black might be the blackest available. A lot of black dyes do have a blue look to them. Don't be afraid to go with brown if it will better compliment your skin tone.

Where can i buy eyelash dye?
Sep 03, 2006 by Fasha | Posted in Makeup
My eyelashes are blonde and i wanted to know where they sold dye to make them darker.
Hi Fasha. I would suggest you try a mascara that has the clear coat, which will help the black mascara hold, and then you apply the black mascara. I think Max Factor makes one. Eyelash dye is usually done in a salon with an experienced beautician. I certainly wouldn't try it at home. But try the mascara first, and play around with different brands, it's much safer.

Should I use eyelash dye? I have white eyelashes and im a guy so wearing mascara is out. best/safe dye product
Jul 16, 2007 by gabbagoo624 | Posted in Makeup
I was diagnosed with vitiligo about a year ago. (the syndrom that michaal jackson supposedly had) and my former long dark eyelashes have lost their pigmentation and turned completely white. Im a guy so I dont want to wear mascara or go to some beauty salon but I heard of a lot of eyelash dye products that work at home. whats the best product and should i do it? The white eyelashes are very embarrasing.
my son also has vitiligo around his eye we have been to several salons to have his eyelash and eyebrow tinted. usually the color lasts only about 2 to 3 weeks. His dermatologist said to make sure the tint did not contain any coal tar products. I have also used a roux lash and brow tint at home on him, the color sometimes does not last as long as some of the products that are used in the salons. we purchased the product at a Sally beauty supply. If I were you I would take a friend or relative and go to a salon a couple of times to see how this is done, the product does burn if you get it in your eyes! so I would suggest you have someone else apply it. I am looking into finding a product that is a gel or creme, like the salons use.

To Latisse, Even Brooke Shields' Eylashes Are “Not Enough”
06.09.10
Of without a doubt, Latisse is not the first produce to attempt to drummer women on the theory that their average eyelashes are somehow “not-enough.” Mascara products routinely spill the beans women that their lashes be lacking lengthening, darkening, thickening, and defining. Confirmed the aggressive marketing of mascara to women, it’s not implausible that women would imagine that their natural eyelash advancement is, at a base smooth, “incomplete.” But even the cosmetic trade’s devoted believers have to concede that Brooke Shields’ pre-Latisse eyelashes not quite qualify as the expression of hypotrichosis:
What does the Latisse drug give up for the gift of at long last having “passable” eyelashes? Her beat, for one thing—Latisse takes always applications for 12-16 weeks to about “full results.” It also takes filthy rich—about $120 a month, which amounts to $480 bucks for the full treatment run. And if you want to keep your eyelashes looking encourage, you’ve got to keep buying—after a few weeks, results will diminish without use.
But Latisse carries risks beyond wasting your once in a while and money. According to the commercial, Latisse “may agent eyelid incrustation darkening, which may be reversible, and there is unrealized for increased brown iris pigmentation, which is probable permanent.” So, Latisse might dye your fleece, maybe eternally, and it also might dye your eyeballs, which will never go away. Consumer Reports explains that Latisse’s spry ingredient , bimatoprost, “has been known to darken even smutty and green eyes to a imperishable dark brown.” Latisse may also grounds eye itching and redness.
