False eyelashes?
Jan 12, 2008 by EllenDegenerate | Posted in Makeup
I am interested in using false eyelashes in place of mascara, I was wondering if anyone had any good brands to suggest or tips for me? thanks. also, anything good for stretch marks?
I only wear false eyelashes on special occasions. When I wear them I use Andrea MOD Permalash Naturals (Individual Lashes)
I think that individual lashes are easier to put on and more importantly they stay put much longer. One piece eyelashes seem to work loose too easy and don't last as long before they tend to lift off at the ends. Sometimes they lift off in as little as one or two hours. Even when taking care to clean your eyelids before applying them. Also they tend to lift if you are dancing or in hot weather. To me it isn't worth the trouble it can be to get them glued back down when you already have eyeliner and mascara on. Especially if your on a date. Or away from the comfort of your vanity. Also it can be allot more work to redo your eye makeup after trying to fix a lifted end.
Single lashes don't have to bend around your eye lids so they can stay in place for days. They can be easy to put on too, once you get use to them. They can have very pretty shape too. Sometimes I trim them to get the final length right.
I would use the one piece eyelashes only for special occasions like photo shoots or if your in a stage show. The one piece lashes can be very pretty and have better shape than the individuals.
You may want to try them both before deciding which you like best.

All I would suggest is that you buy the packages that come with glue to avoid the extra cost.
Revlon has good false eyelashes.

M.A.C Cosmetics has really good ones. Emu oil for stretch marks is really good, as well as Coco Butter.
Hope I helped!

You might get frustrated after using them every day, but any brand is good especially if it comes with glue, just choose a style you like.

In my opinion, they're very uncomfortable for every day use. Also, when I used them, I still used mascara. I thought this was the norm. Good luck! :)

I think you shouldn't use false eyelashes unless you have REALLY thin eyelashes. But, there is mascara that specifically makes your lashes look more full.
I hope this helps!

You should not use fake eyelashes because after awhile people will begin to realize that they are fake. So stick to mascara.I wish you luck.

What mascara gives your lashes the look of false eyelashes?
Jul 04, 2008 by Jessica | Posted in Makeup
I don't want to have to spend a lot of money just to constantly get false eyelashes, plus I hear they're a hassle. So what mascara can make your lashes look really long and thick, similar to false eyelashes?
I heard somewhere that anything waterproof looks especially thick. Also I used Maybelline XXL for a while. It had a volume and a length side. There was this white stuff you put on first, and let dry to do volume and then you put on the black for length. It was a little chunky for me, but if thats what you're going for, it sounds perfect for you.

How do you get mascara off of false eyelashes?
Feb 27, 2007 by *Penny Lane* | Posted in Makeup
I bough some false eyelashes, and when i apply them, i put mascara on. I was wondering if there was a way to take the mascara off of them so that i could use them more than once?
Just to add...the falses that i am talking about arent huge and thick, its more like just a few extra strands that i put on the very ends of my eyes. Which is why i use mascara with them, because i have to put it on the rest of my eyelashes.
I put mascara on my false eyelashes and re-use them, no problem. If you really want to take it off though, use makeup remover. Maybellene makes some. Lots of different brands.

What is the best way to apply false eyelashes?
Jun 30, 2007 by ~ Jamie ~ | Posted in Other - Beauty & Style
I am considering wearing false eyelashes to an event and I know nothing about them. What are the best ones? Where and how do you apply? Just the outside corners or inside also? Is mascara applied afterward? What are the downfalls? Anything I should be careful with?
you could reuse them for around a week or more. For a whole lash strip but some glue and gently squeeze it out and do the line really slim on the fake eyelash and start on the outer eye. Gently press the end of the fake eyelash to the end of your eye close to the edge where your eyelash hairs grow then keep placing it slowly to the beginning of your eyes really close to the lashes so people cannot tell they are fake

What is the best kind of FALSE EYELASHES for a beginner user?
Apr 10, 2007 by ICUsmile | Posted in Makeup
I always wear lots of mascara & it takes me soooo long! I've tried false eyelashes a couple of times, but never actually got them on, and I ended up throwing them away!
I watched Holley on The Girls next Door as she put some on & she made it look easy & of course it looked GREAT when she finished.
What is the best brand for a beginner & is there any tips that will help me get it right? Thanks!
Try individual lashes. You only need a few to make a big difference and you don't have to worry about getting the band close to your natural eyelashes. Inexpensive ones are fine to begin with, start with individual lashes that can be bought at any drugstore.
Practice is what makes it easy, try applying them when you have time to get it right. Soon you'll be able to apply them quickly. Take a look at the article below for some tips.
Also be sure to curl your natural lashes and false eyelashes together so they look more natural.
Good luck.
