Eyeshadow palette?
I'm looking to buy a eyeshadow palette for my girlfriend. She said she prefer light colours. Any recommended brands? In addition, is there anything extra that I can buy as a combination with the eyeshadow palette, which will make a gift better?

Anything by Hard Candy, Too Faced or Urban Decay will work great. Certain things like Urban Arsenal or Ammo eye come with colors and arsenal comes with lip gloss eye primer (which is fantastic, no girl should be with out) mascara and lip plumper are awesome. All can be found at Sephora. That or go to a makeup counter somewhere and as the girls there they can sometimes personalize things for you

Jane Iredale came out with comething called the "bling" palette. Gorgeous pastels and comes with a brush. It's mineral makeup too, which is very popular right now. janeiredale.com
Have a look that the Kryolan Eye Shadows palettle's have a lot of colors.
How much is a filled MAC eyeshadow palette?
I am planning to go to the MAC pro store in Manhattan to get myself a Mac palette with 15 eyeshadow pans. I am not a mac member by the way.
Are there other eyeshadows that I can depot so I can place it into the MAC eyeshadow palette? I want to save more space and convenience.

If you go to a mac pro store they sell the refills of eyeshadows which cost a few dollars less then normal MAC eyeshadows and they don't require depotting.

I prefer the heated method, if you try to simply cut out the eyeshadow it could end up breaking.
Can anyone recommend a good eyeshadow palette?
I have been looking at the sephora blockbuster palette and the coastal scents palette 88 but they look the same! has anyone used either one or both ? can someone point me in the right direction? OR can anyone give me a better recommendation for a BIG eyeshadow palette?
I'm a HUGE fan of the coastal scents 88 palette. Since I can't afford the more expensive makeup brands or tons of different colors, for 21.95 it's perfect! The pans may seem a little small, but trust me - it'll last a long time. Plus, they are highly pigmented and will last a long time, I washed my hands trying to get a swatch off - nothing. Then got a shower and washed it off, nothing. The colors were still there! I would recommend the 88 palette. But, coastal scents doesn't actually make the palette. You can go on ebay and search for 88 palette, it's cheaper.

Just wondering as I keep buying palettes but I have loads and sometimes I use up one particular colour on a palette but I never use all of it up!! How long does it take if yo use it every day to use up a whole eyeshadow palette?
no actually.. haha but im pretty close right now i have about one color left and its been over a year.( I got it for free from 17 Most of the time though, i use up one color i really like. i have about 10 eyeshadow pallets now. that i barely use, they were all gifts.

The 88 color eyeshadow pallete sounds good to me. I think I actually know which ones you're referring to. I've had my eye on the one from http://www.redgingercosmetics.com for a while. It's supposed to be marked down to $25. It was advertised in the back of my mom's In Touch mag. I think it would be great for year round use because there's practically every color of the rainbow and then some.
