Mac eyeshadow?

Is it really worth 14 bucks for ONE single eyeshadow? I have Jane eyeshadow, and the color shows up really good, and it comes in singles. Whats the big deal about Mac eyeshadow?
i use jane too. Jane is cheaper and better. stays on longer.

they are very strong powders and seem to stay on forever - the colors are also heavily matte or very sparkly so they do sit on your lid for a long time.
jane is good - mac is better - but not worth the money. try clinque - they have good products and not $$$.

I use Jane, as well, and am satisfied with it. I could never see myself paying $14 for a single eyeshadow. I don't doubt that the quality is probably better, but I think, in the end, you're paying for the brand name, not what's inside.

I am planning to go to the MAC pro store in Manhattan to get myself a Mac palette with 15 eyeshadow pans. I am not a mac member by the way.
Are there other eyeshadows that I can depot so I can place it into the MAC eyeshadow palette? I want to save more space and convenience.

NYX trio eyeshadows fit into mac palettes.
As well as Urban Decay.
If you go to a mac pro store they sell the refills of eyeshadows which cost a few dollars less then normal MAC eyeshadows and they don't require depotting.

I prefer the heated method, if you try to simply cut out the eyeshadow it could end up breaking.

I think brown or goldish brown. I have blue eyes and fair skin also and they said that brown looks best on me.

Can a mac eyeshadow palette hold Urban Decay shadows as well?

No, they aren't the same size. And altough your couldn't buy a palatte that fits both, you could buy a palatte and press loose pigment from both brands.

I've seen tutorials on how to apply eyeshadow and I was thinking about getting this light vanilla, shimmery kind of color.
Would this kind of color blend well with pretty much all other kinds of colors?... To give a sheer kind of look?
There were so many kinds of eye shadows from MAC and I couldn't decide where to start. The single ones were fairly expensive for just one color....
From mac Shroom goes with everything. It's an awesome highlight. Right now MAC has holiday collections. Palettes are 38 bucks and that's not bad since you get 6 shadows and a single shadow is 14.50. And they have 4 of them with all different colours and they go with each other. Check them out.
Also Lily White pigment is nice too, but it's 19.50
