This may sound nuts, but have you tried going to your local Chinese restaurant for wooden chopsticks? If you look at a set of hair sticks, they resemble chopsticks. If you don't like the length, you can cut them down and design them the way you want.

How do I twist my hair up with hair sticks>? I kinda have the idea, but the ends of my hair always stick out funny. Can you please help me? I think that I want to try that today. Thank you in advance!
It's easier to show than to tell, but I'll try. Grab your hair into a ponytail. Twist it (like you would to put it into a twist or a bun) until it's all twisted right to the ends. Now take the length and tuck it in under/along the side of the twist, making sure the ends are tucked in well. Take one stick and stab it UP through your hair from the bottom. When the end comes out the top twist it downward and stab it back through your hair at another angle. If you do it right it will pull (and hurt) just slightly. Now you can put in a second stick if you like -- the second one is strictly for decoration and can go in at any angle you like.

I was told when a dogs hair sticks up on their back it means they are going to attack. Has anybody else heard something similar to that?
those are warning signs if it is aimed at you such as if he is eating and you approach he is warning to stay away they are prone to attack if the envader continues towards the dog next thing to watch for is when his ears go straight back then next step is to bite.take heed as the other posters are saying it's not toward you.I hope not but if your the only one there than just be careful walk away.

Maybe you can try blow drying your hair, that way it'll help smooth out your fly-aways, or the easier route, is to just put gel in your hair to keep it smooth

I guess if I let it grow out, it would be a bit wavy. However, I want to know how to stop the frizz and stop the hair from sticking up. Whenever I use gel or paste, the water always makes some hairs stick up, regardless of how much gel I use. Should I change shampoos? I use head and shoulders right now.
