what is the best powder makeup?
I use bare escentuals. But since I'm cheap I use Almay's finishing powder. It is finer than bare escentuals powder but the color is right, and I get 3x's as much for just $10-$12.

Try Bare Essentuals (not sure on spelling!) But it is so natural and light!! Trust me, you'll love it!!!

Larenim. Unlike Bare Escentuals, it does not contain any chemicals.

How do you keep your vanity clean when applying face powder/makeup?
Oct 12, 2008 by pamela.cass | Posted in Cleaning & Laundry
Ever since I changed to a new makeup routine using Clinique, I've been applying facial powder & blush with pretty big brushes. Although I like the effect, it seems to be getting all over my vanity and tiled backsplash even thought I'm careful. Any suggestions on how to keep it the area clean and/or the powder more contained?
Thanks in advance.
Before you do your powder and blush you can put a towel over the counter top, or take a few steps back so that it will just fall on the floor, and your next cleaning day will take care of it then.

How can I repair crumbled pressed-powder makeup?
Nov 05, 2006 by x-Fallen-Angel-x | Posted in Makeup
A while ago I bought this rather expensive pressed powder makeup from Ellen Betrix. I kept it in my purse for just a couple days, but sometime in between it must have fallen down or been dropped, because everytime I open it up the powder crumbles completely - it makes a total mess and is close to inusable!
I would buy a new one but I don't want all that money wasted.. Is there any possible way to somehow make the crumbled powder stay intact again? Water, pressure, anything??
(Thanks to anyone that reads this!)
Well, there's actually a way, if worked for me like 2 weeks ago. Just take all the pieces of powder and put them on the metal thingy. Then, take a small spoon and press it , the loose powder and the entire pieces so they mix. Don´t press too hard because you will make it crack again. And use the smallest piece of the spoon that you can, like the tip. And, above all, have LOTS of patience. It took me one hour to fix mine, but since they were expensive it was so worth it. And, don´t forget to leave all the sides well pressed too, because it they´re loose, they will make everything loose and you will loose your hard work. When you finish, just blow a bit and then take the sponge and pass it all over the powder, they will look like new:) GL!

How do you get rid of "peach fuzz" showing through when you use powder makeup?
May 29, 2007 by invisible_love | Posted in Makeup
I've recently started using a powder makeup, but I notice that it brings out the "peach fuzz" on my face that normally wouldn't show. Is there any way to reduce or eliminate it showing while using a powder makeup???
Be sure to apply the powder in a downward motion to avoid lifting the peach fuzz. If this doesn't help, you can just wax your face...i'm just kidding dont do that...this is the only way I know of to avoid lifting facial peach fuzz, but it's probably not even bad, you're most likely the only person who notices it so peach fuzz or not put on your biggest smile and don't let it get in the way of your confidence. Hope this helps
