whats the difference between toner, lotion, moisturizer and cream?
which one is the most important and which one should i use first, second etc?
Toner is usually a clear liquid (or slightly coloured), it's quite watery. It's meant to be used after cleansing and before moisturising to remove any left over cleanser and deep clean the pores. A lot of people think it's not that necessary. Don't buy an alcohol based one, it will dry your skin too much.
Lotion is a light fluid, heavier than water but more runny than a cream. You can get all sorts of lotion - it doesn't describe the product, but the texture. So sunscreen lotion, moisturising lotion, acne lotion, tanning lotion.
Cream is thick. If you have dry skin a cream moisturiser is better. If you have oily skin go for a lotion. You can get all sorts of cream - again, it's describing the weight and texture.
Your routine should be cleanse, tone then moisturise. Always wear a sunscreen during the day.

if you put on foundation will you still put your regular moisturizer cream?

i will put on make up on my brothers wedding next week im just confused...if i put on an foundation i will still put my moisturizer cream first before the foundation or no moisturizer at alll just foundation for the make-up??
A moisturizer is a must. Apply the moisturizer and let it dry a couple of minutes then apply the makeup. If you are worried about the makeup not lasting long then add in a face primer after the moisturizer. This will help any makeup you put on last longer. Just make sure the moisturizer suits your skintone.

I've used all sorts of moisturizers like Olay, Lancome, Shiseido, and etc. But I don't find any of them useful. What kind of moisturizer do you use?

I've used Olay products for years and find them consistently better than the high priced stuff....and they're recommended by dermatologists. A moisturizer can only do so much. You also need to drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated from within, and of course eating a health diet and getting enough exercise are helpful in keeping your skin looking good. It's all connected.

Does moisturizer cream suppose to leave shiny marks on your face or am I using the wrong cream?

Because my face is dry, I often use Cetaphil moisturizer cream to decrease the dryness. However, when I apply the cream, the my skin is really. I try other moisturizers too, but I get the same result-- Shiny!!. Suggestions anyone? Thank you
It should make you glow, but shiny is the last thing you want. There's even anti-shize moiturizers. Try a new one. Aveeno, Clinique, Bliss, and Chanel work best. [in order of cost]

Is there are technique, or some tool sold out there?
I bought a lotion applicator from Dr Leonard's catalog (drleonards.com) Catalog item # 97938 $5.99 ). It really works and was cheap. The lotion goes in the applicator and it has balls (similar to bearings) that massage it onto your skin. It has a long handle. Check it out.
