I am caramel colored but my skin is dull looking and dry i want to find and inexpensive moisturizer that make my skin glow not make it darker this is what kind of glow im talking about http://img54.imageshack.us/img54/4117/576541947sx.jpg
I want it to make my skin smoother and i want to glow not like those self tanners you know but like a real moisturizer do you have any good suggestions and please tell me why you you chose that particular product thanks in advance
I hope you know she's wearing makeup. Anyway you should try "Jergens Natural Glow Daily Moisture" (for the face), In Medium. I use Aveeno 'Positively Radiant', it works well for my face but its alittle drying (b/c of the SPF formula), so I use Vitamin E Oil in conjuction with my moisturizer. Sometimes I use oil before putting on my moisturizer, sometimes I just mix them. Dull skin tends to be more persistent in the colder seasons.
BTW, you should consider buying a bronzer. Something sheer with alittle shimmer. I think Physician's Formula has some of the best natural looking bronzers for decent prices. I recommend their latest "Shimmer Strips", its compared to Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Bricks.

Try Olay Total Effects. I don't know if it's available in your area though but if it is, you should try it. It really make the skin softer and smoother. use twice a day..
For the glow effect in the picture, you'd have to put on some shimmery blusher, I think..

Avenco seems good as mousturizer..i have tried it and it works but am not sure if it is available to your area.

First of all any moisturizer you use won't work the way you expect unless you exfoliate. I would recommend this: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml?id=P61215&categoryId=B70. The skin must be prepped to accept the moisturizer and take it to the level you want. As far as a moisturizer goes I love Boscia. it makes your skin so moisturized that it makes it silky and creamy and soft,
its very inexpensive too. you can buy it at drug stores, grocery storese, or mass market retailers,

What is a good skin moisturizer for 16 mos old?

My 16 mos old has a very dry skin and the winter air has seemed to make it even worse. I've used vaseline on her rough spots ( knees, ankles, elbows etc) but now her whole body seems to have become a rough spot :)
I've tried different lotions and none of them have been rich enough. What is a good and gentle moisturizer I could use or should I just dipp her in vaseline?
My daughter had very dry skin, and her pediatrician recommended Eucerin. It's thick, perfect for their skin and has no irritants. Plus there's a cheap Equate version of it at Walmart for 1/3 of the price.

I mean i know, that it moisturies, but hey lotion does that too, so whats the difference?
I use a coupld of ance treatments, leaving my skin pretty dry.. so i was wondering would moisturizer be good? What are good brands and stuff~thanks.
lotions for the body and hand. your face is different. its just like saying why dont u wash ur face with body soap? DONT! Soap is a lot dryer. Lotions give a result of more acne!!
basically, everyday you should cleanse your face, once in the morning and once before you sleep. While you do it, your face loses water because the cleansing foam takes out dirt from the inside of ur skin leaving ur skin to be more dry. by putting on a moisturizer, it'll regain back the h2o and nutients and all that stuff. You should also use a toner before moisturizing.
shiseido has a really good moisturizer actually. the purness line. but if ur looking for something less expensive, neutrogena has good ones too. for day time, you could use moisturizers with spf to protect against freckles and skin cancer...if ur THAT unlucky.
the face is more precious, use a moisturizer instead of lotion.

i need a good, cheap skin moisturizer for my face that doesnt tan me or give me a "GLOW".
I absolutely love Biore lightweight pore minamizer SPF 15
It's a sunscreen, dries off really fast, and softens your skin, and it has this nice smell to it to, but the smell, disappears in a few minutes.
It's a small thin green bottle and you can get it at K-mart or Rite Aide for like 6 bucks.

area but oily on the rest of my face when using any lotion. I want something that makes my skin glow but not shine after use. Also are there any good acne medications for skin type also or hopefully there is something good that does both fight acne and is a good moisturizer without too much shine.
My face gets really dry and I have tried all of the expensive lotions. There are only 2 lotions that work on me and they are Ponds (at Walgreens or Wal-Mart) and Beauty Control. They're the best! Cetaphil is a cleanser (not a lotion) but it is recommended by physicians for cleansing the face. I am a medical transcriptionist and Cetaphil is given to a lot of patients with dry skin. They also tell patients to use Dove soap (noncolored) when bathing and showering.
